Reliance Marble Industries

We set up Reliance Marble Industries out on Pasoond Tasol Road. It’s a wide-open area which is good because marble takes up a lot of room. If you come by, you’ll probably see a lot of dust because cutting stone is a messy job. We spend our days moving big slabs around and making sure the cuts are right. It’s heavy work and it’s usually pretty loud with the saws going. We don't have a showroom with air conditioning or anything like that. We just have the yard and the workshop area. The weather out here on Tasol Road can be tough, either too hot or too dusty, but we stay out there regardless. We get trucks coming in from the quarries all the time. Sometimes we’re just standing around waiting for a crane to get into position. It’s not a fancy life, but we like working with the stone. Every piece of marble is a bit different, and you have to be careful not to crack it. Our team is just a few guys who know how to handle the machinery. We don't really have a sales pitch. People drive out here to look at the slabs and choose what they need for their floors or counters. It’s a simple process. We show you what we have on the lot, and that’s about it. Most of our work comes from word of mouth around the local area here. We just focus on the slabs.
