About Rajmahal Marble Industries – Building & Construction Material in Rajsamand
Rajmahal Marble Industries is located right near the bus stand in Kelwa on N.H. 8. Being so close to the bus stand means there is always something going on nearby with people coming and going. It’s a very local kind of place. We handle marble mostly, as that’s what this area is known for. The yard is usually full of slabs that we’ve brought in from the nearby mines. We spend a lot of time walking people through the rows of stone. It’s not always easy work because you’re outside in the sun all day long. We don't have a polished showroom with air conditioning or fancy lights. Instead, you just walk around the yard and see the stone as it really is. Sometimes there are cracks or spots in the marble, because that is how nature made it. We tell people that straight away. There’s no point in hiding it or making it sound like it isn't there. We have a few guys working the machines and helping with the loading. It can get pretty loud when the polishers are running in the back. We’ve lived in Kelwa for a long time, so we know most of the other families in the stone trade around here. We just try to get through the day, make sure the orders are right, and go home to our families. It’s a basic life, but we like it and it keeps us busy through the seasons.
