Raja Ram Marble & Granite

Our yard is located right off N. H. 8 in the Badarda area. If you are driving down that way, you will see Raja Ram Marble & Granite sitting among a few other local businesses. It is a wide-open space because we need the room for the granite slabs. They are heavy and take up a lot of floor area. We spend a lot of our day outside under the tin roof when it’s raining or out in the open when it’s clear. Badarda is a good spot for us because the trucks can pull in and out easily without getting stuck. Sometimes the dust from the highway gets a bit much, but that is part of being on N. H. 8. We usually have a small crew working the cranes and moving the larger pieces around. It's a lot of manual labor and checking for cracks or chips. We try to keep things organized but with the amount of material coming in from the quarries, it gets messy fast. I usually have my lunch sitting on one of the smaller blocks near the gate. It's a simple life out here. We don't have a lot of fancy technology, just the basic tools and a lot of physical effort. People from the village come by sometimes just to chat while we work. It's just a regular business doing regular work every day of the week.
