About Raja Marbles – Building & Construction Material in Rajsamand
Our place is out on the Kelwa-Amet Road in Baman Tukda. If you know this area, you know it's all about marble. There’s a lot of noise from the gangsaws nearby and the trucks are always kicking up dust. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. It’s a basic setup. We have the yard where the blocks are kept and a small area where we keep the finished slabs. The ground is almost always white from the marble slurry. It’s not a place for nice shoes, that’s for sure. We start early in the morning before the heat gets too bad. Most of our day is spent talking to drivers or checking the measurements on the stone pieces. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. Most people just drive up and look at the stock. Sometimes we have a lot of one color and then it sells out, and we have to wait for the next lot from the quarry. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and shifting things around. We use the crane a lot, but there’s still plenty of manual labor involved. My brother helps out with the books, but mostly we are just out in the yard. It's a steady life, just dealing with stone and the weather. We try to be fair with the prices and just do our job.
