Raghav Marbles

Raghav Marbles is situated on the Kelwa-Amet Road, specifically in the Baman Tukda area. It’s a bit quieter here than on the main highway, which we quite like. The road outside can get a bit bumpy, especially after the monsoon season. We have a decent amount of space in the yard at Baman Tukda. Most of our day is spent checking the quality of the blocks that come in from the nearby areas. We have a few machines for cutting, but a lot of the work is still done by hand with basic tools. My father started things here, and we just kept it going. We have a small shed where we keep the finished pieces so they don't get too weathered by the sun. It's a lot of physical work, lifting and moving and measuring. Sometimes we have visitors who are building their first home and they aren't quite sure what they need. We just walk them through the rows and show them what we have available at the moment. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s just a working yard where things get dusty and the work is hard. We like the community here in Baman Tukda. Everyone knows each other. We just do our work and go home at the end of the day. It’s a steady life on the Kelwa-Amet Road.
