Praveen Marble

Our office is at Gs6 & 7 right in the Riico Industrial Area. Praveen Marble has been operating out of this space for some years now. It's a practical setup, nothing too fancy. We spend most of our time out on the floor or dealing with the loaders. The Riico area is always loud with trucks and machines, so it's a bit of a noisy place to work. We have two units basically merged together. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking about the weather or the local news. Other days, everyone is rushing and the phone won't stop ringing. We just try to keep up with the orders. The stone comes in rough and we deal with it. It’s hard work, especially in the heat, but we’ve got a good group here. We don't really do big advertisements. Most people find us because they know the area or heard about us from someone else. We've got a lot of slabs stacked up, some have been there a while and some move fast. It’s just how the business goes. We usually close up early on Saturdays if things aren't too backed up. It's a steady life here in the industrial zone. We don't have a lot of rules, just that everyone does their share and the customers get what they asked for. It isn't perfect, but it works for us and the people who buy from us. We handle the heavy blocks with the crane and just hope the weather stays clear for the shipments.
