Prakash Marble

Prakash Marble is located over in Morchana, specifically near the Morchana Nahar on N.H. 8. Having the canal nearby is a bit of a landmark for us. It’s a nice change from just seeing the tarmac of the highway all day. We have our yard set up right there with all the marble we have collected. It is a lot of work to keep track of everything, but we have a system that works for us. We aren't a big company with hundreds of people. We are just a local team working with stone. You can hear the water sometimes if the road is quiet, but usually, it’s just the sound of the trucks on N.H. 8. We have a lot of different sizes of marble pieces scattered around the site. We spend our mornings walking through the rows and checking what needs to be moved. It is a very hands-on job. We get a lot of sun out here in Morchana. We have a small sheltered area where we keep the paperwork and take our tea breaks. It’s a pretty basic setup, but it’s ours. We have been at this spot for quite a while and most of the locals know where to find us near the canal. We just take it one day at a time, moving the marble and talking to the drivers who stop by to see our latest stock.
