Our place is a bit tucked away in Kankroli, right behind Shyam Marble Pvt Ltd. If you aren't looking for us, you might miss the turnoff. It’s a bit quieter back here than being right on the main road, which is nice in some ways. We deal with various types of stones at Pragati Stone Mart. The yard isn't huge, but we make the most of the space we have. We spend a lot of time organizing the stacks of stone so we can actually find what we’re looking for when a customer asks. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around with the crane. The office is just a simple room with a desk and some samples lying around. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. We know the stones well and can tell you where they came from. We don't use any fancy sales pitches or marketing tricks. We just show you what we have and tell you the price. Sometimes the deliveries are late because the trucks get stuck or the quarry is behind schedule, and we just have to deal with it. It’s a practical business. We focus on the daily tasks, making sure the stone is cut right and that the loading goes smoothly. It’s just us doing our thing back here in Kankroli, trying to stay organized.
