We've been here at Piparda near the BT pump for a while now. Being right on N.H No 8 makes it easy for trucks to get in and out, which is basically what our day looks like at Vikas Balaji Marble Pvt. Ltd. It's dusty work. Most days we are just moving slabs around or talking to people who stop by because they saw the sign from the road. The sun gets pretty hot out here by the highway. We handle a lot of marble, obviously. It's heavy stuff and it takes a lot of space. Sometimes the yard gets a bit crowded when a new shipment comes in. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of stone everywhere you look. People come in looking for something specific for their house or a project they're working on nearby. We show them what’s in the stacks. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. You get used to the noise of the traffic passing by. Sometimes we grab tea at the pump next door when things quiet down for a minute. It isn't a complicated setup we have here. We just focus on the stone and making sure it gets loaded onto the right truck without any cracks. If you're driving down the national highway, you'll see us. It’s just how things go around here for us. We just keep working and moving the stone every day.
