Natraj Marble Industry

Out on Nathdwara Road, you can find the Natraj Marble Industry. We are located right along the N. H. 8 in the Piparda area. It is a bit of a dusty stretch of road, especially when the wind picks up and the trucks go flying past our gate. We have a lot of space here to keep the big marble blocks that come in from the quarries. Most of our days are spent out in the yard, looking over the stones and seeing how the patterns look under the sunlight. Piparda is a quiet enough place except for the highway traffic, which never really stops. We are just a local industry doing what we know, which is moving and cutting stone. It is not an easy job and the sun can get really hot during the middle of the day. We don’t have any polished marketing brochures to hand out. Usually, someone just pulls their vehicle over and walks into the yard to see what we have in stock. We show them around, talk about the different blocks, and figure out what fits. It is a very direct way of doing business. The crew here has been working with marble for a long time, so we just focus on the physical work and keeping the yard organized. It is just a regular life for us here on the edge of the highway, handling heavy slabs and getting them loaded for transport to wherever they are needed.
