We run our marble business out of Rajnagar, specifically in the Baman Tukda area. Nakoda Marble Pvt Ltd has been around for some time, dealing with different types of stone. Our yard is usually filled with large slabs of marble and granite waiting to be loaded onto trucks. It is a dusty place, as you can imagine with all the cutting and moving of stone. We aren't a fancy office-based company; most of our work happens right there in the yard or at the sites where the marble is being delivered. The sun gets pretty hot out here in Rajnagar, but we are used to it. We have a small office on the side where we keep the records and talk to customers about their orders. It is a lot of heavy lifting and careful work to make sure the stone doesn't crack. We don't use much marketing; people mostly find us because they are building something nearby and see our sign. We are a straightforward group of people just trying to supply stone. It is a tough business with a lot of competition, but we have our regular clients who trust us. We don't make big promises, we just show what we have in stock and let the marble speak for itself. It’s a basic, hardworking environment at Baman Tukda. We take it one slab at a time and keep moving forward every day.
