We have been here at Baman Tukda on the Kelwa-Amet Road for quite a while now. If you drive down this stretch, you know how it looks with all the stone around. Nakoda Marble Pvt. Ltd. is just one of those places where the work never really stops. It gets dusty, and the sun hits the slabs hard in the afternoon, but that’s just how it is. We spend most of our mornings checking the blocks that come in. Some days are busier than others, especially when the trucks are lined up out on the road. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It is mostly just the yard and the cutting machines. My father started this, and now we just keep it going day by day. You learn a lot about marble when you see it every single morning. It isn't just about selling something; it’s about knowing which piece has a crack or which one will polish up nice. People stop by because they are building a house nearby or sometimes they are from further away. We just show them what we have in the stacks. Sometimes the tea is cold by the time we get to drink it because a customer walked in. The Kelwa-Amet Road is a busy place for stone. We are glad to be part of the local scene here in Baman Tukda. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk.
