Mahesh Marble Industry

Mahesh Marble Industry is located on Mangriya Road in Rajsamand. This is the heart of the stone country so there are many businesses like ours around here. We have our own way of doing things though. Our yard is filled with blocks that we have brought in to be processed. The sound of the gangsaw is the main thing you hear when you visit us. We spend a lot of time monitoring the water flow and the blades to make sure the cuts are straight. It is a dusty and wet environment at the same time. We have a small staff and we all know each other well. During the lunch break, we usually sit under the shade of the big tree near the entrance. The Mangriya Road gets very busy with tractor-trolleys carrying stone. We have to be careful when we are moving the crane so we do not block the path. We do not do much advertising because the work speaks for itself when people see the slabs. It is a tough business and the margins are thin, but we have been doing it for a long time. The office is just for keeping the ledgers and having a cup of tea. We prefer being out in the yard where the actual stone is. It is just a regular factory life for us here.
