Laxmi Marble

Our place, Laxmi Marble, is situated right on N.H. 8 in Piparda. We are directly opposite K.R. Marbles Pvt. Ltd., so we are quite easy to find if you are driving along the highway. Being on the main road means we see a lot of traffic and travelers every day. The noise of the highway is something we have just stopped noticing after being here so long. We have a lot of different marbles laid out in the yard. It is a large open space because you need room to move the trucks in and out. Piparda gets very hot in the summer, which makes working outside with the stones a bit tough, but we manage. We are not a big private limited company like the one across the road. We are more of a local operation. We don't have a shiny office; we mostly sit in a small cabin near the entrance where we keep our registers. People stop by on their way to other cities, or local builders come in to see what new stock we have arrived. We don't do any big promotions or anything. Most of our work comes from just being here in a good spot on the highway and treating people fairly. We just focus on the stones and making sure the loading is done right. It is a simple way to run a business and it keeps us occupied throughout the year.
