Krishna Marble & Granite

Our place is right on N H 8 in Badarda. Being on the highway means we see a lot of trucks and cars zooming past all day. Krishna Marble & Granite is basically a big open space where we keep all our inventory. People driving by often stop when they see the rows of white marble and dark granite sitting out front. It’s a convenient spot for builders moving materials between towns. The wind blows a lot of dust from the road onto our slabs, so we are often out there with a hose cleaning things off so people can see the real colors. It’s just a few of us working here. We handle the loading and unloading ourselves. It’s a lot of physical labor, and your back definitely feels it by the end of the week. We don’t use any big fancy words to describe what we do. We just have stone, and we sell it to people who need it. Some days are slow when the weather is bad, and other days we can't keep up with the people pulling over. Badarda is a quiet enough place except for the highway noise. We’ve stayed here because it’s easy for the big transport rigs to pull in and out. If you come by, you’ll likely find us sitting in the small shade of the office or moving slabs around with the forklift. It's just regular life on the side of the road.
