If you go down N. H. 8 in Piparda and turn toward Dev Puriya Road, you'll see us near the Hanuman Temple. Kanak Masrmo Grani Pvt. Ltd. is situated right there. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main highway. The temple nearby gives it a nice feel. We spend our days mostly moving granite and marble around. It's heavy work and my back usually hurts by five o'clock. We have a small crew of guys who have been with us for years. We know each other's families and how we like to work. The yard is full of different colors of stone. Sometimes we get some really interesting pieces that we hate to see go. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just answer the phone and talk to whoever walks in. Sometimes the rains make the Dev Puriya Road a bit of a mess, but we still manage to get the trucks out. We just try to be honest about what we have. If a slab has a crack, we'll tell you. No point in hiding it. It’s just how we do things here. We are just simple people trying to run a business. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the upcoming festivals when things get slow. It’s a good way to spend the day. We hope to keep this place running for a long time and keep providing for our families.
