About Kamdhenu Marbles – Building & Construction Material in Rajsamand
Out here on the Kelwa-Amet Road in Baman Tukda, we run Kamdhenu Marbles. It’s a bit away from the main highway hustle, but we still keep very busy with all the stone coming in. The yard is filled with rows and rows of marble, and it can be a bit of a maze if you don't know your way around. We spend our days mostly outdoors, checking on the inventory and talking to the people who come in looking for floor tiles or slabs. It’s hard work because marble is heavy and you have to be careful not to crack it. The sun can be brutal in Baman Tukda, so we try to do the hardest work in the morning. We don’t use any big words to describe what we do. We just sell stone. Some of it is white, some has gray streaks, and some is even darker. We just put it out there and let people see it for themselves. The yard has a small shed where we keep some of the more delicate pieces, but most of it is just out in the open. It’s a honest living, and we enjoy being part of the local community here on the road to Amet. We see a lot of the same truck drivers every week, and we usually have a quick chat while the crane is working. It’s a simple life out here among the stones.
