Jay Marble Ind. is our workplace over in Bhagwanda, right along N.H. 8. Being situated on the national highway means there is never a dull moment with all the traffic and transport. We deal with marble every single day, and it has become a way of life for us. The yard in Bhagwanda is where we spend the bulk of our time, often under the open sky. We have a small group of workers who know their way around the heavy machinery. It is not the kind of job where you stay clean, but we don't mind the dust too much. We focus on the practical side of things, like making sure the slabs are cut properly and that they are loaded safely. We aren't interested in using big words or making empty promises. If a customer comes by, we just walk them through the rows of marble we have on hand. Bhagwanda is a busy hub for this industry, so we see a lot of different people coming through. We just try to keep our heads down and do the work that needs to be done. Sometimes the days are long, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a finished load leave the yard. We have been here for a while and have seen the area grow, but our way of working remains pretty much the same as it always was.
