Jangid Marble Industries

Jangid Marble Industries is located on the High Way Road in Piparda, right on N. H. 8. It’s a very busy stretch of road and we are right in the middle of all the action. We have been working with stone here for a long time. My family has always been in the marble business, so it’s just what we do. The yard is usually quite full of slabs. We get them from the quarries and then we have to sort them out. It’s a lot of manual labor. Even with the cranes, you still have to use your back a lot. The sun in Piparda can be really intense, especially in the summer months, so we usually take a long break in the middle of the day. We have a small room at the back where we can sit and get out of the heat for a bit. We don't really have a big marketing plan. Most people find us just by driving past on the N.H. 8. They see the name on the wall and stop their vehicles. We show them what we have and we talk about the different types of stone. Sometimes we don't have exactly what they want, so we tell them to come back next week. It’s a very casual way of doing business. We are just regular people trying to make a living. The yard is our second home, even if it is just a bunch of stone and dirt and noisy trucks passing by.
