Jai Mata Marbles is located in Siyana, right on the road that goes between Kelwa and Amet. We’ve got a decent-sized space where we keep all our marble inventory. It’s a noisy place sometimes because of the machinery and the trucks loading up, but we’re used to it. We don’t have a lot of frills here. The office is just a small room where we keep the books, and the rest of the place is all stone. We spend a lot of time inspecting the slabs that come from the cutters to make sure they are up to standard. It’s a lot of walking back and forth across the yard. Siyana is a good place for this kind of work because there are so many other stone yards around, so everyone knows the business. We try to be helpful when someone comes in, but we aren't pushy about it. We just show them what we have in stock and tell them the price. It’s a practical way to run things. Sometimes the wind blows the dust everywhere, and everything gets covered in a thin white layer, but that’s just how life is in a marble yard. We’ve been at this for a long time now. Most of the people working here have been with us for years, so we all know how to handle the material. We just keep our heads down and get the work done every day.
