Gujarat Marble

Our place, Gujarat Marble, is right by the bus stand at Piparda on N.H. 8. If you have ever traveled this highway, you probably know the area. It is a dusty stretch of road, but it is where all the action is. Being near the bus stand means there is always someone around. We spend most of our time out in the yard moving slabs of stone. It is hard work and the sun gets pretty hot out here on the highway. We’ve been at this spot for some time now. We don't really do the whole corporate office thing. It’s just us, the marble, and the trucks coming and going. Sometimes the wind picks up and blows red dust everywhere, so we are always cleaning off the surfaces so people can actually see the patterns in the stone. It’s a simple life. We start early when the first buses start rolling in and we stay until things quiet down in the evening. There isn't much to say about us other than we work with what we have. Piparda isn't a huge place, but because of the highway, we meet people from all over. We just focus on the stone and making sure the pieces are loaded correctly on the trucks. It’s a regular local business, nothing more and nothing less. We just keep things moving.
