Gattani Marble

If you head down N.H. 8 toward Morchana, you will find us near the canal, or what we call Nahar Ke Pass. Gattani Marble has been sitting here for quite some time now. We deal in all sorts of local marble slabs. The yard is usually full of heavy stone and the sound of the crane moving things around. It gets pretty noisy when the saws are cutting through the big blocks. We are just a small group of people working here every day. We see a lot of people passing by on the main road. Some stop because they are building a house and need some decent stone. We don't have those fancy brochures. We just show you the actual stone. If you like it, we load it up. The sun can be real harsh out here in Morchana, so we mostly work in the early morning and late afternoon. My brother handles the accounts and I look after the stock. Sometimes the shipments are late because of traffic on the highway. We just deal with it as it comes. It's a practical business. We know the stones well, which ones are strong and which ones look better after polishing. People trust us because we tell them exactly what they are getting. No secrets or big talk. Just marble and hard work at our spot near the highway. We keep the gates open for anyone who wants to browse.
