Arpit Granites

Our shop, Arpit Granites, is located right on N. H. 8 in Piparda. We are directly opposite Hotel Green, so we tell people to look for the hotel if they get lost. Being on the national highway is convenient but very noisy with all the trucks passing by. We deal mostly in granite. Our yard is full of different colors and patterns. It’s just a small group of us working here. We don't use any big marketing slogans. Most people find us because they are driving down the highway and see the stone slabs lined up along the side of the road. We spend a lot of time outside, checking the slabs under the natural light. Piparda is a good spot for this kind of work. The sun can be brutal in the summer, but we have a small roof area where we sit and have tea. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a working yard where things get moved around by hand or with a small crane. Sometimes we have a lot of stock, and other times the yard looks a bit empty. It depends on the season. We try to keep things simple and honest with everyone who walks in. If the stone has a crack or a weird spot, we point it out. There is no point in hiding things. We just do our job and go home to our families at night. That is the truth of it.
