Arif Marbles

If you go down N. H. 8 toward Bhagwanda, you will find Arif Marbles right there on the side of the road. It is a family-run kind of place, so you will often see a few of us sitting out front when the sun starts to go down. We have been in Bhagwanda for quite a while now. The yard is filled with various blocks and slabs that we have collected over the months. Some days we are very busy loading up trailers, and other days we just spend time re-stacking things to make more room. The highway is always noisy with the sound of horns and engines, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We don't have a big corporate office or a sales team. It is usually just me or my brother handling the inquiries. We use a lot of chalk to mark the slabs and keep track of what goes where. Sometimes the local tea seller comes by and we take a break for ten minutes. It’s a simple way to run a business. We don't spend much on advertising because people usually just see the sign while they are driving by. We try to keep the place tidy, but when you are working with stone, there is always going to be a bit of a mess. It's just the way it is here in Bhagwanda on the highway.
