Aashirwad Marble & Granite

Out here on N.H. 8, things stay pretty loud with the trucks rushing by all day long. We are right across from Chandroday Marble in Morchana, so if you miss them, you usually see us. The sun gets really hot on the stone slabs in the afternoon. Most of our time is spent out in the yard checking the stock and talking to the drivers. We have a mix of marble and granite sitting around. Some pieces have been here longer than others. It is hard work because everything is so heavy and you have to be careful not to chip the edges. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the crane and the cutters. There is always water on the floor from the sawing process. It keeps things cool but makes a mess of your boots. Sometimes neighbors stop by just to chat or ask for directions because of the highway. We just show them the slabs we have and let the stone speak for itself. No point in making a big fuss about it. We just open up in the morning, drink some tea, and get to work moving these big blocks around. It’s been our life for a long time now. The office is small and usually has some papers flying around when the fan is on. We just try to get the orders right and keep moving.
