You can find us at World Of Tiles & Granites, over at Shop No. 216-217 in Gulab Nagar. We’re right near Miss Pooja House, which is a landmark most people in the neighborhood recognize. Our shop isn't a giant warehouse; it’s two units packed with as many tile and granite samples as we can fit. Sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze getting through the aisles, but we like having everything where we can see it. We aren’t really into fancy sales pitches or polished displays. We just have the stuff on the shelves and the slabs on the floor. People come in from around Gulab Nagar looking for something for their floors or walls. We just show them what we’ve got and let them decide. Sometimes we run out of a particular style and have to wait for the next shipment, which can be a bit of a wait. We do our own lifting and loading most of the time. It’s a lot of manual work, and we usually go home pretty tired. We’ve been here long enough that we know the local rhythms of the street. The mornings are usually quiet, but the evenings get busy with people coming home from work. We don’t have a mission statement or anything like that. We just open the shop, talk to the customers, and try to keep the inventory organized. It’s a regular job for regular people.
