Our place, Suryakant Chitlangia & Sons, is situated on Ganj Line. We are right near Shankar Bhawan, which is a landmark most people in the area know. This is a family-run business, and you can tell by the way the office is set up. It’s got that old-school feel with heavy wooden desks and stacks of ledgers. Ganj Line is a narrow street where everyone knows their neighbors. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find modern glass buildings. It’s more traditional and grounded. We spend our days handling the various bits of business that come our way. Sometimes it’s quiet, and we just sit and talk while we work, and other times it’s a total scramble to get everything finished before the day ends. We don't have a website or any of those modern marketing tools. People know where we are, and they know we’ve been here for a long time. Being near Shankar Bhawan means there’s often some kind of event or gathering nearby, which adds to the atmosphere of the street. Our shop is a bit dusty and the paint might be peeling in a couple of corners, but it’s a place where real work happens. We just focus on being consistent. We open up at the same time every morning and follow the same routines that have worked for us for years. It’s a simple, predictable life on Ganj Line for us.
