Young Star Hair Parlour

Our shop, Young Star Hair Parlour, is right on Jetpur Road in Gondal. We are directly across from the bus stand, so there is always a lot of movement. You can hear the drivers shouting and the engines idling all day long. It brings in a lot of people who are just passing through and need a quick tidy-up. The shop is small and the paint on the door is a bit chipped. Inside, we have two chairs and a wooden bench for waiting. We’ve had the same mirrors for years. They have a few spots on them that won't come off, but they work fine for a haircut. We don't use any fancy machines, just the basic stuff we’ve always used. The floor gets dusty because of the road right outside, so we are always using the broom. We get our lunch from the small stall down the street. It’s a busy life here in Rajkot district. We don't have much time for breaks when the buses are coming in. Sometimes a customer will tell us a story about where they are traveling to. It’s interesting to hear. We aren't a big corporate chain or anything. It’s just a local spot where you can get a shave and a chat. We’ve been here a long time and the regulars know us well. We just keep things simple and honest. That’s how we like it. The work is steady and the days go by fast.
