Texture Salon And Academy

You can find us at the Aswamegh Complex on University Road in Rajkot. We have shops number 9 and 10. It is a bit of a dual setup because we do hair for regular people and we also have students here learning how to do the work. University Main Road is always moving, so there is plenty of noise and dust outside most days. Inside, it is usually a bit of a mess with people practicing on mannequins and clients getting their hair cut at the same time. We have been here for a good bit now. The academy part takes up a lot of our space, but we manage to fit everyone in. It is interesting to see the younger ones trying to figure out how to hold the scissors right without dropping them. Sometimes we have to step in and show them the same thing three or four times. It is not a quiet library kind of place at all. There is always someone talking or a hairdryer going somewhere in the back. The mirrors are large and we try to keep them clean, but with all the hair products and water, it is a constant job. We are just a local spot where people come to learn and get cleaned up. It feels like a small community inside these two shops. We keep the lights bright and the doors open.
