Our workshop for Swagat Bags is located at Plot No. 3 near Somnath Chock in the Somnath Industrial Area. To get here, you have to go down Gondal Road and get past the Kothariya railway crossing, which can be a real headache if the gates are closed. We spend our days making bags of all kinds. The building is just a simple industrial shed filled with sewing machines and stacks of material. It gets pretty noisy when all the machines are running at once, and the dust from the fabric is everywhere. We don’t have any polished sales pitches or big brochures. Usually, people just drop by because they heard about us from someone else in the area. We have a few guys who have been stitching bags for years and they are much faster than any of the newer machines we bought. The industrial area is a bit rough around the edges, but it’s a good place to work. We take our breaks together and talk about the news or the weather. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a big order to finish before the weekend. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we take pride in seeing a finished bag leave the shop. We just keep our heads down and do the work as best as we can without making a fuss about it. That is really all there is to our daily routine here.
