Ss Sarees

Ss Sarees is tucked inside Ajay Complex on the Divanpara Main Road. Being on the main road means there is always something going on outside our door. The complex itself has been here for years, and we have been part of it for a good while too. We focus mostly on sarees, obviously, and we have piles of them everywhere you look. It can get a bit messy during the busy season when everyone is looking for something specific for a wedding or a festival. We don't have those big fancy lights or mannequins in the window like the shops in the big malls. We just have our counters and plenty of stools for people to sit on while they look at the different patterns and fabrics. The fan usually clicks a bit while it spins, but it keeps us cool enough during the summer months. Divanpara is a good place for a business like ours because people are always coming through for their shopping. We know most of the other shop owners in Ajay Complex, so we often share a tea in the afternoons. It’s a simple way of living. We open up, fold a lot of fabric, talk to the ladies who come in, and go home. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. It is just selling sarees to people who need them. Some days the colors are so bright they make your eyes hurt, but it’s a nice change from the grey road outside.
