Our place, Revlon Rubbers, is out in Veraval Shapar. It’s on Plot No. 42 and 43, right off the S. I. D. C. Road near the highway. If you know the area, you know it's mostly factories and dust. We deal with rubber products every day. It’s loud in the workshop and there is always a specific smell that stays on your clothes. The machines have been running for years. They aren't the newest, but they do what they are supposed to do. Working in Shapar means you get used to the heavy trucks moving on N. H. 8-B all the time. Survey No. 170 is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It’s a busy spot. We handle different types of rubber molds and parts. Sometimes things break down and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing a press. It’s not a clean job, you get your hands dirty pretty fast. My father started this and we just kept it going. We don’t have a big fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor checking the batches. It’s hot in the summer and noisy when all the motors are humming. We just focus on making the parts right so they don't fail later on. It’s steady work in a tough environment, but it keeps the lights on and the families fed.
