Kiran Rubber Industries is located at Survey No. 245. We are right near Marshal Cement. If you see the cement trucks, you're close to us. We work with rubber, obviously. The smell of raw rubber is something you never quite get out of your clothes. We have these big presses and molds that we use all day. It’s a physical job. You have to be strong to move the raw material around. We make all sorts of rubber parts for machines and vehicles. It’s a bit dark inside the workshop because of the way the building is shaped, but we have good lights over the work areas. We're not a fancy outfit. We don't have a boardroom or anything like that. We usually just talk over tea in the break area. Most of the staff have been here for years, so we’re like a small family. We know which machine has a quirk and how to fix it when it acts up. The location is good because it’s easy for the transport trucks to find us. We don't spend money on advertising. We just focus on the orders we have. Sometimes we stay late to finish a big batch. It’s just the way it goes. We take pride in just being a solid, working-class shop. No big promises, just rubber parts made the way they should be. That's what we've been doing since we opened up next to the cement plant.
