Our place is on Gayatrinagar Main Road, directly opposite the Radheshyam Dairy Farm. If you are standing outside, you can usually smell the fresh milk or the sweets from the dairy. It is a lively part of Gayatrinagar, and having Gangasagar Pan right there means people are always hanging around the corner. The shop is simple and doesn't have any of those modern bells and whistles. We have our chairs, some well-used capes, and a bunch of combs sitting in jars. The traffic on the main road never really stops, so we spend a lot of time watching the world go by through the front glass. We get a mix of people coming in, from young kids to the older men who have lived in this part of Rajkot for decades. It is a comfortable spot where nobody feels they have to act a certain way. The floor gets swept whenever there is a break, and the mirrors are wiped down every morning, but it still feels like a lived-in space. We don't use any complicated booking systems; people just walk in and wait their turn on the wooden bench. It is a basic neighborhood business that relies on being right there where people do their daily shopping. We like the rhythm of Gayatrinagar and the familiar faces that pop in after visiting the dairy farm across the street.
