We are situated at Survey No. 262/1 on Rupavati Road, which is in the Jetpur taluka, specifically at Bordi Samadhiyala. It’s quite a way out from the main city, surrounded by open fields and more industrial plots. The air out here is a bit fresher, though the factory noise is always there. We make wood-plastic materials, so the machines are running most of the day and night. It’s a big space but it still feels crowded once we start stacking the finished boards. Most of our workers live in the nearby villages and walk or bike here. We have a small office section that’s mostly just for keeping the logs and answering the phone. The road out here isn't the smoothest, especially after a heavy monsoon, so we have to be careful with the transport trucks. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the gate and the sound of the saws. It’s a lot of manual labor, checking the mix and making sure the molds are right. We drink a lot of tea to keep going through the shifts. It is a quiet kind of existence despite the machinery. We just focus on getting the production numbers right and making sure the quality is what it should be for the local builders. We’ve been at this spot for a while and the routine is pretty set.
