Our place, Jalaram Hardwares, is situated in the Bhavesh Shopping Centre. We are right in the heart of the GIDC area in Ankleshwar, which is always buzzing with industrial activity. If you are driving around here, look for the Hotel Highway Inn, as we are quite close to that. Being in a shopping center means we have plenty of neighbors, and there is a lot of back-and-forth between the different shops. Hardware is one of those things that everyone needs eventually, so we see all kinds of people, from factory workers looking for a specific bolt to homeowners needing a new lock. The GIDC can be a pretty intense place to work with all the heat and the noise, but we are used to it by now. We’ve been running things here as a private limited company for a while, but it still feels like a local shop at heart. We know many of our regular customers by name and usually know what they need before they even ask. Our shelves are packed with all sorts of things, and sometimes it takes us a minute to find that one specific part someone is looking for. It’s a bit of a maze back there, but we have our own system that works for us. We just keep our heads down, do the work, and try to help people out with whatever hardware problems they have that day.
