Sagar Handicraft

We are located on the 4th floor of Keshavkunj Apartment, unit number 402. It’s in the Khasriwad area, which is very close to Soni Bazar. Being on the fourth floor means we have to carry everything up and down, which can be pretty tiring by the end of the week. There isn't an elevator that we use for the heavy stuff, so we just take our time on the stairs. From our window, we can see the tops of the other buildings near Bchhrinaka. It’s a very old part of town with lots of narrow alleys. The sound of the market down in Soni Bazar reaches us even up here. We spend our days working on small handicraft items that don't take up too much room, which is good because an apartment isn't a huge factory. It’s a bit cramped with all the boxes and finished pieces waiting to be sent out. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep us company while we work. The kitchen area is where we make our tea and take our breaks. It feels more like a home than a business, which I guess is because it actually is an apartment. We just make it work for what we need to do. It’s a quiet life up here above the busy streets of Bhichhrinaka. Sometimes the birds land on the balcony and we watch them for a bit while we rest our eyes.
