Red Renewable Technologies

Our place is out at Plot No. 2625 on Road D/5, near the Kranti Gate in GIDC Metoda. It’s a big industrial estate, so there are trucks and heavy machinery moving around at all hours. We have a warehouse space where we work on various renewable energy components. There’s a lot of raw metal and sheets of glass leaned up against the walls. We spend a lot of time assembling parts and checking the stability of the frames. It’s a dusty environment because of all the construction and the factories nearby. We have a small area partitioned off for a desk and some old chairs, but most of the action happens on the main concrete floor. The sounds of drills and hammers are pretty constant throughout the workday. We’re mostly focused on the hardware side of things, putting pieces together so they’re ready to be shipped out to sites. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find a fancy reception desk or air conditioning. We just have the workshop and the loading bay. We’ve been out here in Metoda for a while now and it’s a good spot for getting materials in and out without being in the city traffic. Sometimes the power dips in the estate, which is funny given what we work on. We just get on with the job. It’s manual work and we usually go home tired at the end of the day. It’s a practical business and we like it.
