Kartik Silver Art

Kartik Silver Art is tucked away on Street No. 3 in Bramhaniyapara, over in the Ranchhod Nagar area. We're pretty close to Sant Kabir Road and the Yagnik Shaadi Centre, which is usually a busy landmark for people trying to find us. My family has been working with silver for a long time, and we've stayed at this Matru Ashish location because it suits our needs. The workshop isn't very large, but it has everything we need to do our work. There’s always the sound of tools hitting metal in the background while we work. It's a bit of a dusty place, as you’d expect with any kind of metalwork. We aren't much for fancy displays or advertising. Most of our work comes from people in the neighborhood or folks who heard about us from a friend. We spend a lot of time sitting at our benches, focusing on the small details. Sometimes we lose track of time when a piece is being difficult. It's a quiet street for the most part, except for when people are heading to the wedding center nearby. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. If you happen to be walking down Street No. 3, you'll probably see us there. We don't have a fancy store front, just our workshop. We’re usually here six days a week. It’s a quiet life but we enjoy it.
