Pardes Dehydration

We are located at Plot No. 14-15 in the Purvalaya Building over in Ramkrishna Nagar. Pardes Dehydration is a busy place, especially when the harvest comes in and we have a lot of produce to process. The air inside always smells like whatever we are drying that day, whether it’s onions, garlic, or other vegetables. It’s a strong scent that stays on your clothes even after you go home. The building itself is sturdy but it has seen a lot of use. We have trays stacked everywhere and the dryers are usually humming along in the background. It’s a bit of a humid environment in some spots, which can be tiring, but we just get on with it. We don't have a lot of visitors, so we don't worry too much about having a fancy lobby or anything like that. We just have a desk where the paperwork gets filed and a lot of space for the actual work. Our team is mostly local people who have been with us for a while. We know the rhythm of the seasons and how it changes our workload. Sometimes we are working double shifts to keep up, and other times it’s a bit quieter. It’s a very hands-on job. We spend most of our time checking the moisture levels and making sure the packing is done right. It’s honest work that keeps us on our feet.
