Rajesh Sarees

Rajesh Sarees is located over by Kotecha Chowk on Kalawad Road. We are pretty close to the dairy there, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. If you get lost, just ask for the Kotecha Chowk area and you’ll see where we are situated. It’s a decent spot, though the traffic can be a real headache during the evening rush. We spend a lot of time just organizing the sarees by color and material. The shop isn't huge, so we have to use every inch of space we have. There are shelves all the way up, and we use a small ladder to reach the top ones. It’s a bit of a workout every day. Most of our regulars are people from the neighborhood who have been coming here for years. We know their names and what they usually like. It’s not like those big malls where nobody knows you. Here, we sit on the floor cushions sometimes while showing the stock. It’s more comfortable that way for everyone involved. The fan hums in the background all day long. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit by the door for some light. It’s just part of life here. We keep it simple. There are no fancy decorations or bright lights, just stacks of sarees and us doing our work. The dairy nearby always has people around, so there’s a lot of life on the street and plenty of noise.
