Pushpam Hunnarshala

You can find us right in the middle of Soni Bazar in Rajkot. We are located in Zaveri Chambers on the main road. If you have ever walked through Soni Bazar, you know how crowded and loud it gets with all the shops and people moving around. It’s a very traditional part of the city. At Pushpam Hunnarshala, we are usually busy with whatever project is on the table that day. The office in Zaveri Chambers is where we spend most of our hours. It’s an old building, but it has character and it suits the kind of work we do here. We see a lot of the same faces every day because the neighbors all know each other. It feels like a small community inside a big city. We don't really have a big sign or anything, people just know we are here. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall downstairs and talk about the day. There is always a lot of clinking and noise from the other workshops nearby. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It’s not always easy keeping things organized in such a busy area, but we manage. The floors get dirty fast with all the foot traffic, so we are always cleaning up. It's just a normal day for us at the bazar.
