Prashthan Hospital

You can find us right across from the Muralidhar Weigh Bridge on Kishan Gate Road. We are on the first floor of Fortune Square, number 103. It is a bit of a busy area with all the trucks going back and forth to the weigh bridge, so it gets dusty outside sometimes. We opened up here in Metoda because there are so many people working in the factories around Rajkot who need a place nearby. The hospital isn't huge, but we have enough beds for the folks who need to stay over for observation. The elevator in the building is a bit slow and makes a funny noise, so most of us just take the stairs to save time. My cousin helps with the records and I handle the general stuff around the ward. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors because of all the heavy boots coming in from the industrial sites. It is a practical setup. We don't have any of those fancy waterfalls or big art pieces in the lobby you see in city hospitals. Just a desk, some chairs, and the medical equipment we need to do our jobs. Most days are pretty straightforward, dealing with minor injuries or fevers. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but the generator usually kicks in eventually. We just keep things moving along. It’s a good spot for the local workers to stop by without having to travel all the way into the main city.
