We have been operating at G-546 in the Metoda Gidc area for quite a while now. If you head past the Rajendra Cold Storage near Kishan Gate, you will find our main gate. It is a busy spot. Most mornings start early with the sound of the strap machines humming. We spend a lot of time just making sure the rolls are coming out right. The floor gets pretty dusty, and there is always someone moving heavy boxes around. It isn't a fancy office or anything like that. It is just a lot of plastic and heavy rolls. Our crew knows the machines well because they have been working them for years. Sometimes the power goes out, or a belt snaps, and we have to stop everything to fix it ourselves. It is just how things go here. We get a lot of trucks coming in and out because of the cold storage nearby, so the road is often blocked with something. It gets very hot inside during the summer months, but we keep the fans going. We don’t do anything too complicated, just making strapping material for packaging. Most of our day is spent checking the thickness and the strength of what we make. We have a small desk in the corner for the paperwork, but most of us are usually out on the floor. It is a simple operation, really. We just show up, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down.
