Kumar Hair Art

Our place, Kumar Hair Art, is over in Punit Society. We are right across from Rameshwar Mahadev on Kotharia Main Road. It’s a good location because the temple is a big landmark and everyone knows where it is. Being on Kotharia Main Road means we are always in the middle of the action. The shop isn't very big, but we make the most of the space we have. We’ve got our mirrors set up and the tools we need within reach. Most days are pretty much the same. We start early, get the tea going, and wait for the first person to walk through the door. Because we are near Punit Society, a lot of our regulars are our neighbors. We talk about the weather, the local news, and whatever else is going on. The shop has a bit of a lived-in feel to it. It’s not a shiny new studio, just a place where people come to get a trim and a chat. We have a few old stools for people to sit on while they wait. Sometimes the shop gets a bit dusty from the main road, so cleaning is a big part of our daily routine. It’s a simple life and we like it that way. We don't bother with fancy advertising or anything like that because word of mouth in this part of Rajkot is usually enough.
