Krishna Oil Mill

Our mill is located at Plot No. 24/25 in Vegadi. We are right in the Gidc area, and if you look across the road, you can see Shitalamata’S Hill. Being on Jamkandorna Road makes it easy for the trucks to bring in the seeds we need. The smell of oil is pretty much everywhere here, which is something you get used to after the first week. It’s a dusty, hardworking place. We started Krishna Oil Mill because there was a need for it in this area, and we’ve stuck with it through the years. The machinery is loud and requires a lot of oiling and maintenance to keep it from seizing up. We aren't sitting in air-conditioned offices all day. Most of us are on the floor, watching the press or bagging the finished product. The sun beats down on the Gidc pretty hard in the summer, but the breeze from the hill helps a little. We don't use any fancy sales pitches. People come to us because they know where we are and they know what we produce. It’s a simple operation at its heart. We wake up, start the engines, and process what comes in. At the end of the day, we sweep up the floor and get ready to do it all over again tomorrow. It’s just how life goes for us here in Vegadi, where the work is steady and the days are long.
