Jay Somnath Casting

We’ve been here at Atika Street for quite a while now. Most people around Patel Chowk know where our workshop is. Jay Somnath Casting is just a regular place where we handle metal work and casting stuff. It gets pretty loud and dusty, but that’s how it is in the Atika Industrial Area. We mostly spend our days looking at molds and dealing with the furnace. Rajkot has a lot of these small units, and we are just one of them. My father started things here, and now we just keep it going. There isn’t anything fancy about the office. It’s mostly just a desk and some old chairs where we sit to talk to customers. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just wait it out. People come to us when they need specific parts made. We don't really do big advertising. Most of our work comes from folks who have known us for years. We try to get things done on time, though sometimes the raw materials take longer to arrive than we expect. If you are looking for us, we are right there near Patel Chowk. It’s a busy spot with lots of trucks moving around. We just focus on the daily jobs and try to make sure the measurements are right. It is hard work, especially in the summer heat of Rajkot. But we have a small team that stays through it all. We just keep busy with the orders we have.
