Girija Art Creation

Girija Art Creation is located over at 8, Nalanda, on the 3rd floor. We are in 14 Gundawadi. It’s an older building so you have to climb the stairs, which keeps us fit I guess. We’ve been in this space for a long time now. The light on the third floor is actually quite good for seeing the details on the pieces we work on. Usually, it’s just a few of us here. We spend our days sketching and making sure everything looks right. Gundawadi is a crowded area, always something going on downstairs. You can hear the street noise even up here. Sometimes it’s a bit much, but you get used to it. We have shelves full of materials and finished works all over the place. It's not the biggest space, but we make it work. Most of our tools have been with us for years. We don't really bother with fancy decorations for the office. It's more of a workspace than a showroom. If someone comes by, they usually just sit on the stool by the window. We focus on the craft and getting things done. Shipping can be a bit of a pain from the third floor, carrying boxes down, but we manage. We aren't trying to be some huge company. We just like making things and selling them to people who appreciate the effort. It’s a simple setup and that’s how we like it.
