Arya Gallary

If you are looking for Arya Gallary, you have to head down Kothria Main Road. We are right across from the Municipal Shopping Centre, which is a busy spot most days. Our place is actually inside Chandra Cottage on Navdurga Road. It can be a little confusing if you are not from around here, but once you see the cottage, you will know you are in the right spot. We started this gallery because we wanted a place to show the stuff we make and collect. It is a bit of a mix of things. Some days are slow and we just sit and organize the shelves or clean the glass on the frames. Other days, people are coming in and out asking questions about different pieces. The space is comfortable, not like those cold, empty galleries in the big cities. We have wooden floors that creak a bit and plenty of light coming in from the front. Most of the time, there is music playing softly in the background while we work. It is a family-run kind of thing, so you might see one of us eating lunch in the back or chatting with a regular visitor. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just like having a space where art is the main focus and the atmosphere stays relaxed for everyone who walks in.
