Gayatri Industries

We’re over on Mavdi Bypass Road, right near Dharti Pan in Rajkot. Gayatri Industries is basically just a manufacturing unit where we spend most of our daylight hours. The area stays pretty loud because of the traffic on the bypass, but you get used to it after a week. We mostly work with metal and machinery here. It’s greasy work, and our clothes usually show it by noon. The shop floor is where everything happens. We have a few machines that have seen better days, but they still run fine if you know how to handle them. Rajkot gets incredibly hot, especially in May, so we drink a lot of tea and try to stay in the shade when the sun is directly overhead. We don't have a big sign or a fancy reception area. If you come looking for us, just ask for the place near the pan shop. Most of the guys here are locals from the Mavdi area. We don’t bother with much paperwork beyond what’s necessary for the government and our suppliers. It’s a simple operation. We wake up, head to the bypass, and start the machines. Sometimes we stay late if a big order needs to go out, but usually, we’re heading home by six. The floor is always covered in scraps and oil, but that's how a real workshop looks. We just keep our heads down and keep the production line moving along.
